Since Reiki is the life energy that exists and flows all around us, and a Reiki practitioner is able to channel Reiki wherever there is a need.
Reiki practitioners learn how to send healing Reiki energy across time and space. This same method can also be used in-person to help clear blockages from the past, or across large parts of the body. Similarly, it can be used to cleanse neighborhoods or geographic places. When practicing Reiki on someone who is not physically present, this method is used to connect to their energy.
By using this method, a Reiki practitioner can send Reiki energy to anyone simply by directing our thoughts and energy. Setting up a mutual time is also helpful, so the recipient is open to receiving the energy. However, distance Reiki can be sent to anyone, anywhere and at any time, with the permission of the person set to receive it.
Distance Reiki works according to what is known as the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which says that we are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. Using this law during a distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link an object to the energy field of the recipient.
Distant Reiki is as powerful as an in-person Reiki session. The same energy flows to you remotely as it would in person. Your mind may perceive it differently since there is no one physically present with you, but it still works just the same. It can also be very useful for those who are unable to leave their homes for an in-person session due to illness, incapacity or distance.

Fill out the Distance Healing form, sign the consent waiver.
Please refrain from using any form of illicit drugs or alcohol within 24 hours prior to the Reiki session to allow for your body to be ready to accept the healing energy of Reiki.
Set a clear intention for the healing session and be open to receiving the light of Reiki.
Let’s get comfy! Wear a comfy outfit, choose a location you can lay comfortably in.
Inform those who you are living with that you require uninterrupted time. Place your phone on silent. Have a glass of water nearby Light a candle, incense, or turn on your favourite essential oil diffuser.
Lie down, get pillows and blankets, your comfort is key. You will be given an option for background music but if you prefer silence you can choose that as well.
Like in person Reiki, some clients feel sensations of warmth or gentle pulsing, while other clients experience deep relaxation and calmness. Each client and each treatment will feel different. Your body will receive whatever healing it intuitively needs. It is okay to fall asleep during Reiki and you may choose to do so right after. If you do fall asleep, I will sign off Zoom and we will debrief at a later date and time.
We will have a debrief on what came through during the session. While I cannot give you a diagnosis, I may make some suggestions for after-care.
Although people typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed, sometimes they notice feeling more tired than usual, which can be the body's natural healing response.
You may feel nothing out of the ordinary and like “nothing happened”. This is normal as well. The effects of Reiki are sometimes delayed and can manifest a few days later.
People commonly report a sense of calm and mental clarity and sleeping well after Reiki.
