What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique. The predominant form of Reiki practiced throughout the world today, also known as Usui Reiki, was created by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. It’s a complementary or alternative health approach, and it does not directly cure diseases or illnesses. Instead, it’s used as a way to manage symptoms and improve general well-being.
On a physical level, Reiki supports the body's natural ability to heal itself, helping to release blockages, toxins, and relieve pain. Getting in touch with natural healing energy. Reiki can also help you become more aware and in tune with your body, helping you to develop greater awareness of your body's needs.
On an emotional level, Reiki can help you get in touch with the depths of your emotions and can help you to transform energy. Reiki can help you cultivate more positive emotions, such as love, compassion, kindness, connection, sharing, intimacy and more.
On a spiritual level, Reiki can help you to love and accept yourself. To have self-compassion and compassion for others. It can help you to connect with the divine and help you to see that you are a part of something larger.
Reiki energy flows from the practitioner’s hands into and through the client. The client is usually laying down on a massage table or comfortably supported on the ground similar to a restorative yoga class. The practitioner places their hands on or hovers over the client's body in a series of hand positions. Positions include around the head, neck, torso, arms, legs, following the chakra energy points. The belief is that I, the practitioner, am able to stimulate your body’s natural healing abilities.
Reiki is a non-invasive form of healing. There are no known harmful side effects. Reiki sessions may be triggering to those suffering from past traumas and/or the release of stagnant energy may be anxiety producing. Though, Reiki generally creates a calming effect, leaving you relaxed.
Reiki works in conjunction with regular medical or psychological treatment. If one has a medical or psychological condition, it is recommended that one see a licensed health care professional in addition to receiving Reiki treatments. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care or any other method of alternative care and will improve the results.
As a Reiki Practitioner, I have been trained to send healing to clients wherever they are in the world!
Distant Healing sessions are possible because energy is not confined to a specific space or time. Energy transcends and can be sent anywhere.
Crystals add an extra element of healing to the treatment by helping to release emotional, mental, or spiritual blocks.
Crystals may be placed on or around your body or be held by the client.
